Chemically Bonded Castables (CBC)
Chemically bonded castables are mixtures where chemical binding agents are used instead of hydraulic agents, either in the pulverized form (i.e., refractory mixture stirred in water) or refractories are delivered as two-component products (i.e., diluting liquid- liquified binding agent is delivered together with dry refractory mixture). Advantages include short term of the first heating. First continuous heating is not necessary compared to hydraulically bonded refractories.
